No, it is a portable satellite broadband terminal that achieves IP connectivity while stationary or on the move.
2.What is the composition of the MCD Voyager?
The MCD Voyager integrates the high performance Thuraya IP Voyager into a ruggedized self-contained, auto-pointing satellite broadband terminal. Built for extreme environments, contained in a watertight, crush proof, dust proof reinforced plastic pelican case.
3.Do I need to point the terminal to connect to the network?
No, all what you need to do is open the terminal and it will connect automatically in less than a minute without the need for any user interaction
4.Do I need to open the case in order for the terminal to operate?
No, you just need to turn the terminal on and then you can use it even with the case lid closed
5.What are the power requirements?
Runs for up to 5 hours on internal battery for normal use and 5 Hours standby time, may be plugged into a vehicle 12V power port for continuous operation or charging. Recharge time is about 4 hours from full discharge

MCD Voyager is a true plug and play device. The browser on your PC that supports Java can be used to operate this terminal. You can also operate the terminal by using any smartphone or a tablet that support Wi-Fi, e.g. iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Samsung, etc.
17.How much does the MCD Voyager cost?

18.Will my MCD Voyager be upgraded automatically if there is a new version?
No, you have to download the new version of the software from the MCD Voyager web page on Thuraya website and then upgrade the firmware on your terminal by following the steps described in the upgrade manual.
19. Do I have to add specific applications to improve the performance of the MCD Voyager?
The performance of any satellite IP link can be improved by using special Performance Enhancement Proxy software. You can easily download the software from our website or you can request for it from Thuraya Customer Care.
